The active and enthusiastic ICU Fairtrade Society recently held a stall for Fresher’s week, which Peros was delighted to support with samples of Fairtrade juice, Ubuntu Cola and Nero & Bianco chocolate. Imperial College is a Fairtrade University, and Peros are their key supplier of Fairtrade goods. One of the reasons Fairtrade has been so successful at the College, is undoubtedly due to the strong support of the student body and staff, and the team at the Fairtrade Society.

Nick Greenwood, from the ICU Fairtrade Society had the following to say:

“We all had a great time on the stall and we were easily the most popular in our room (although I was a little too busy to check!). Our team was able to engage very successfully with the students wandering around and ensured they all had an understanding of what Fairtrade means as they gratefully accepted the enticing array of samples we offered. We were regularly asked by students passing by whether we were the chocolate society even with their stall just a little way away! They all stayed to try our chocolates, listen about Fairtrade and signed onto the mailing list.
